Hi i’m Dominic Hatcher, I am a trauma-informed Internal Family Systems (IFS) practitioner offering one-to-one therapy for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, and the effects of developmental & relational trauma.
My work is grounded in the IFS model developed by Richard Schwartz, an evidence-based therapeutic approach that helps people understand and work with the different “parts” of their inner world in a respectful, non-pathologising way.
IFS supports meaningful and lasting change by strengthening access to what Schwartz describes as the core qualities of Self: calmness, curiosity, clarity, compassion, confidence, courage, creativity, and connectedness.
I provide a calm, structured, and confidential therapeutic space characterised by warmth, attunement, and clarity, where clients can explore their inner experiences safely and at their own pace.
Before training in Internal Family Systems, my work was rooted in somatic, trauma-aware, and nervous-system-informed practices through many years of one-to-one and group facilitation. This background informs the way I practice therapy today, with careful attention to embodiment, somatic awareness, and nervous system regulation alongside reflective dialogue.
My therapeutic approach integrates:
• Internal Family Systems therapy
• Trauma-informed practice
• Attunement and relational safety
• Somatic awareness and embodiment
• Nervous system regulation and pacing
This allows therapy to be both psychologically insightful and deeply attuned to how your system is experiencing the work moment to moment.
How I work:
Therapy sessions are collaborative, respectful, and guided by what feels manageable for you. A central principle of my work is moving at the speed of trust — allowing safety and clarity to develop naturally, without pressure or urgency.
You are not expected to have the right words or a clear narrative. We begin with what is present and allow your system to gently guide us from there.
IFS allows us to explore the parts of you that hold anxiety, self-criticism, protective behaviours, or unresolved emotional experiences, and to build a more compassionate, confident, and internally connected relationship over time.
My role is to provide a steady, attuned, and supportive therapeutic environment in which this process can unfold.
I commonly work with clients experiencing:
• Generalised anxiety and chronic stress
• Emotional overwhelm and burnout
• Integration of Plant Medicine & Psychedelic experiences
• Relationship and attachment patterns
• Low self-worth and harsh self-criticism
• The effects of developmental, relational, or complex trauma
• A sense of feeling “stuck” despite insight or effort
• A desire for deeper self-leadership, embodiment, and inner coherence
You do not need a diagnosis to begin therapy.
A sense that something feels difficult, repetitive, or unresolved is enough.
I am available for sessions from Monday - Friday both in-person at The Cherry Tree Centre or from my home in Fawley & also available online.

My approach is:
IFS-informed (parts-based) – working with different aspects of you to hear their experiences and reinstate safety rather than trying to change or override them
Somatic and embodied – tracking sensations, impulses, breath, and nervous-system states, not just thoughts
Trauma-informed and carefully paced – especially with developmental trauma, PTSD and CPTSD
Relational and deeply attuned – using the therapeutic relationship as part of the healing field
Grounded in presence and Self-energy – supporting curiosity, compassion, clarity, and calm to lead the process
Integrative – informed by my background in trauma-aware yoga, somatic practices, and ceremonial space-holding
