Elizabeth Brennan

I run a small private practice working as a psychodynamic psychotherapist in Oxford. I see people from the age of 18 onwards. I am happy to see older patients. I practise from home and live close to the centre of the city.

I trained at wpf (Westminster Pastoral Foundation in Southampton and London and am qualified to see patients twice weekly. I have been practising since 2010. After qualifying I worked at St Thomas's in London for 2 years and then in Swindon.

I hold a Modern Languages degree from Oxford University and speak German and French fluently. I can therefore offer patients therapy sessions in either language if they would prefer to speak in their mother tongue.

As a psychodynamic psychotherapist, I am interested in patient's past experiences from a young age, how these can affect their relationships with others and give rise to problems in their personal life. Helping people to become aware of these and work through them during the course of therapy is very important to me in my work.
