About me

You might be feeling anxious, low, stuck in repeating relationship patterns, or quietly exhausted from holding everything together. Perhaps part of you longs for closeness while another part pulls away. Maybe you don’t have clear words, just a sense that coping on your own isn’t working anymore.

Therapy offers a space where those feelings don’t need to be pushed aside or managed alone. Instead, they can be understood. I’m Iain, a Humanistic and Integrative Therapist offering a warm, compassionate, and grounded space to explore whatever brings you here. My work is relational and developmental, recognising how our early experiences shape how we see ourselves, others, and the world. Together, we gently explore how those patterns may still be influencing your emotions, reactions, and relationships today.

I work integratively, drawing from person-centred, Gestalt, and existential perspectives, allowing our work to be shaped around you rather than fitting you into a model. We can explore questions of identity, meaning, loss, belonging, or simply make sense of what feels overwhelming right now, at your pace.

Before private practice, I supported people navigating complex life experiences, including addictive patterns and relational trauma. My own lived experience of recovery and therapy also informs my work. I deeply respect the courage it takes to ask for help and to look inward with honesty and care.

This might resonate if:

You’re coping outwardly but feel disconnected inwardly

You struggle with intimacy, boundaries, or self-worth

You’ve outgrown old ways of surviving

You want deeper understanding, not just symptom management

You don’t need to be in crisis to begin. If something inside you is asking to be understood, that’s enough.

I offer a free 30-minute call so we can see whether working together feels right.

My Approach

I see therapy as a collaborative relationship rather than something that's done to you. I believe many of our struggles make sense when we understand them in the context of our life experiences, relationships, and the ways we've learned to survive. Together we can explore what's happening beneath the surface, whether that's anxiety, self-doubt, loss, relationship difficulties, or a sense of feeling stuck. My aim isn't to fix you, but to help you reconnect with yourself, understand your experience more deeply, and find a way forward that feels authentic to who you are.
