About me

I’m Jas, a warm and grounded therapist offering a calm space for people who feel overwhelmed, stuck or simply tired of holding everything together on their own. I didn’t choose therapy so much as it chose me, it’s always felt natural to sit with people in their most honest moments and offer a space where they feel seen, safe and understood.

Many of the people I work with look like they’re coping on the outside, but inside things feel heavier than they used to. If that’s you, you’re not alone. My approach is gentle and steady, giving you room to breathe, slow down and make sense of what you’re carrying.

I’ve volunteered at Derby Women’s Centre and Nottingham Women’s Centre, where I offered support to women facing a wide range of challenges. This work has helped me develop a sensitive, steady and compassionate way of being, meeting you where you are, without judgement and helping you make sense of what feels difficult or overwhelming.

I offer sessions in person at The Elephant Rooms in Draycott, as well as online across the UK, providing flexible weekday, evening and weekend availability.

Experience

I’m a Humanistic and Integrative therapist with a BSc (Hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy. Before completing my degree, I trained through the CPCAB (Counselling & Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body) route, gaining both my Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies and Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. These early stages of training shaped the way I work today, with care, curiosity and a deep respect for people’s lived experiences.

I’m a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) and work in line with their Ethical Framework, which guides my commitment to your wellbeing, safety and autonomy. I have regular supervision and ongoing professional development to keep my work grounded, reflective and effective.

Alongside my private practice, I’ve supported people from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences. Inclusivity is important to me, and I aim to create a space where you don’t have to explain or justify who you are — a space where you can simply be yourself and feel understood.

Specialisms

I support adults who are navigating:

Anxiety and constant worry;

Overwhelm and burnout;

Feeling stuck, low or disconnected;

Grief and loss;

Identity, belonging and cultural questions;

Relationship patterns and emotional fatigue;

Stress and emotional overload;

Low self-esteem and self-criticism;

Life changes, transitions and uncertainty.

I’m especially attuned to people who are used to coping alone, carrying a lot for others, or feeling unseen in their own lives.

My Approach

My approach is Humanistic and Integrative, which means the relationship we build together is central to the work. I aim to offer a warm, steady presence, a space where you can show up exactly as you are, without pressure to be anything else. You don’t need to have the right words or a clear story. We can start wherever you are.

I draw from different therapeutic ideas, but I always hold the belief that you are the expert in your own life. My role is to support you in understanding yourself more deeply, making sense of what feels heavy and reconnecting with the parts of you that may have been pushed aside.

Inclusivity is at the heart of how I work. I welcome people from all backgrounds and identities and I’m mindful of how culture, relationships, environment and wider systems shape our emotional lives. Ultimately, I hope to offer a therapeutic relationship that feels safe, steady and meaningful, a place where you can explore, reflect and move towards.

Ultimately, I hope to offer a therapeutic relationship that feels safe, steady and meaningful — a place where you can explore, reflect and move towards a life that feels more aligned with who you are.
