Richard Caird

I have had the privilege of travelling extensively in my youth, immersing myself in the richness of diverse cultures and societies. These experiences have profoundly shaped my worldview and contributed to the person and therapist that I am today. My therapeutic approach is grounded in a Person—Centred, Relational, Integrative, and Existential framework. I am deeply committed to supporting individuals on their journey of self—discovery and psychological healing.

For over 13 years, I have worked clinically within the NHS psychiatric sector, supporting individuals facing severe trauma, abuse, neglect, and a wide range of complex mental health conditions. My aim has always been to create a safe, compassionate space for others to begin making sense of their inner world and to find paths toward healing. I hold a Master's degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I am a registered member of both the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and I adhere strictly to their ethical frameworks.

Complex mental health conditions, OCD, depression, anxiety, sexual abuse, self-harm and eating disorders.
