About me

I’m Zita, an integrative counsellor and the founder of Gold Seam Therapy.

My work, for me, is about creating a space where you are allowed to be exactly as you are - no pressure, no judgment, unconditional acceptance - Nowhere else you may experience yourself as freely as you in therapy - with the right therapist.

We start with building a strong therapeutic relationship where trust can develop - a nourishing and supportive environment where you can explore your experiences, feelings, patterns at your pace. I will pay close attention to your nervous system, your story, and what feels manageable for you in the moment.

Experience

I am a qualified integrative counsellor and a registered member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society. My clinical experience includes both working with children in primary school settings using play-therapy and adults in charity and in private practice with particuarly in childhood trauma, supporting neurodivergence, addictions.

I am committed to ongoing professional development, and in regular clinical supervision. Currently engaging in further training in IFS, counselling the elderly, hoarding issues and eating disorders.

Specialisms

I work with adults and young adults experiencing:

Anxiety and panic attacks

Trauma and trauma related conditions

Addiction

Childhood and relational trauma

Low self-esteem and self-worth

Stress and burnout

Grief and loss

Life transitions

Neurodivergence (ADHD/ASD/AuDHD)

My practice is LGBTQ+ friendly

I also certified in counselling children and young people, for children I use play therapy and creative approaches through face to face sessions - I work with teenagers from aged 14 to 18 similar way as I do with adults, tailored the therapy around their needs.

My Approach

The relationship between therapist and client is at the heart of my work. I believe healing happens when people feel emotionally safe enough. "Realitionship is the therapy". (Kohn)

My approach is integrative, meaning I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to meet your individual needs rather than expecting you to fit one particular model.

I have developed my own niche working with trauma integratively: using elements of compassion-focused approach, play therapy, creative elements and somatic therapy.

I offer face-to-face, online, walk-and-talk, text-based therapy, and home visits in - on case by case basis. .
