I'm Zita, an integrative counsellor and the founder of Gold Seam Therapy.
I believe that therapy is about more than finding solutions: it's about feeling genuinely heard, understood, and accepted. Life's experiences can leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve us. My role is to provide a safe, compassionate space where we can explore those experiences together and help you move towards greater clarity, resilience, and self-understanding.
I work collaboratively, recognising that every person is unique. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy to your individual needs, always moving at a pace that feels right for you. Whether you're seeking support through a difficult time, processing past experiences, or simply wanting to understand yourself more deeply, I aim to create a therapeutic relationship where meaningful change can take place.
I am a qualified integrative counsellor and a registered member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society. My clinical experience includes working with adults in both charity and private practice settings, supporting clients with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties.
Alongside my qualifications, I am committed to ongoing professional development, regular clinical supervision, and reflective practice to ensure I provide safe, ethical, and effective counselling. My work is trauma-informed and neurodivergence-informed, recognising that every person's experiences, strengths, and challenges are unique.
I work with adults and young adults experiencing:
Anxiety and panic
Depression and low mood
Trauma and PTSD/C-PTSD
Childhood and relational trauma
Low self-esteem and self-worth
Stress and burnout
Grief and loss
Relationship difficulties
Emotional regulation
Life transitions
Neurodivergence, including autism and ADHD
Personal growth and self-discovery
I have a particular interest in supporting people who have experienced complex or developmental trauma and those seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships.
The relationship between therapist and client is at the heart of my work. I believe that healing happens when people feel emotionally safe enough to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgement.
My approach is integrative, meaning I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to meet your individual needs rather than expecting you to fit one particular model. Together, we will work at a pace that feels comfortable, exploring both the difficulties you are facing now and, where appropriate, the experiences that may have shaped them.
I offer face-to-face, online, walk-and-talk, text-based therapy, and home visits in specific circumstances, allowing you to choose the format that best suits your needs. Whatever brings you to counselling, my aim is to offer a calm, respectful, and collaborative space where you can reconnect with yourself and move towards lasting change.
