My approach to therapy is always client centred meaning that client and therapist work together in collaboration to achieve the best therapeutic outcome.
I work with a variety of different approaches depending on the needs of my client, however, I tend to work with mindfulness based therapies alongside hypnotherapy and CBT as they are complimentary to the healing process. Mindfulness can help bring you back to the present rather than worrying about what might happen in the future or travelling back into the past and ruminating about what has already happened and cannot be changed. The mindfulness based therapies that I work with are ACT - Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, CFT - Compassion Focused Therapy and DBT - Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. I also use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy) and have had some amazing results with this. EMDR is an evidence based treatment widely used in the NHS to help people suffering from PTSD. EMDR can be successfully used to treat a number of difficulties as well as stress and anxiety.
I have experienced first hand how the power of the mind can help you turn things around and make changes at the most difficult and dark times and I'd like to help you do the same.
