Hi, I’m Jo, and I truly believe in the power of therapy to help people find clarity, healing, and inner peace. My passion for understanding people has shaped my entire journey—long before I became a therapist.
I’ve always been drawn to connection and conversation. My early career in travel which then took me around the world, managing a backpacker hostel where I met people from all walks of life, each with their own unique stories. Later, I worked in recruitment and HR, helping people navigate career changes and personal growth.
In 2005, I followed my calling and became a therapist. I started in a children’s center, guiding individuals through personal development, team-building workshops, and mentoring young people. I also introduced relaxation techniques to help people find calm in their daily lives. After five years, I moved into private practice, where I’ve spent the past 20 years supporting individuals and couples through life’s challenges.
Whatever you’re facing, you don’t have to go through it alone. I offer a warm, understanding space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace.
I’m a fully qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist and a proud member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). My approach is rooted in Person-Centred Therapy, but over the years, I’ve expanded my skills to include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Couples Counselling, Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), Coaching, and Hypnotherapy. This means we can find a style of therapy that feels right for you.
As part of my commitment to ongoing learning, I’ve also trained in areas such as domestic violence, bereavement, OCD, trauma, suicidal thoughts, mindfulness, and art therapy. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach—our sessions will be tailored to your unique needs. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and truly supported.

With a warm, empathetic approach, I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, and eating-related challenges. I understand how overwhelming these struggles can feel and offer a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions at their own pace. Drawing on evidence-based techniques and a deep respect for each person's unique story, I help clients build emotional resilience, develop healthier coping strategies, and reconnect with their sense of self-worth. My goal is to support lasting change by fostering self-awareness, inner strength, and a renewed sense of hope.
