I am a massage therapist specialising in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Holistic, Remedial, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Indian Head, Indian Face and Seated Acupressure Massage and I am an instructor in Baby Massage. I am based in Wandsworth/Earlsfield, South West London, parking is available or a short walk from Earlsfield mainline station.
I qualified with an ITEC Anatomy Physiology and Massage Diploma in July 2002 and set up my own small business and have been practising ever since. In June 2003 I passed an Indian Head and Indian Face Massage Diploma. For many years since I have done various courses to improve my treatments and knowledge in this field including: Common Back and Neck problems, Soft Tissue Release, Deep Tissue Massage, Adapting Massage to Palliative Care, Myofascial Release, Manual Lymphatic Dainage, Seated Acupressure Chair Massage and recently I have qualified as an Instructor in Baby Massage. I am insured through the Complimentary Therapists Association (CThA) and am listed on the Embody Website.
I massage mainly from my home but am very happy to do home visits for those who are unable to travel. I also visit offices and the work place where I do Seated Acupressure Chair/ Onsite Massage and Indian Head Massage, this is becoming very popular.
Massage is a completely natural and non invasive therapy that has been used for centuries in many different countries and cultures. Most people of any age can benefit from massage. Massage gives a feeling of well being and has a number of benefits. It promotes suppleness in the muscles and joints, improves circulation and waste removal, aids digestion and respiration and encourages relaxation which reduces stress levels. Many of today's diseases are stress related in some way, so Massage can be a very effective way of keeping the body well balanced, to encourage it to heal itself and to cope with the stress and strain of our every day life. Often if someone has a regular massage, with a therapist that they trust, hopefully they will stay supple in the muscles and joints and will be pain free to lead a happy and less stressful life! . . . . . .
