I am a Shiatsu Practitioner and Teacher registered with the Shiatsu Society UK and fully insured with Balens Ltd. . Shiatsu is like a Japanese Osteopathy, mixed with Energy massage, taking account of your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual system. Using a Listening compassionate Touch, I respond to what you need to help you to reach closer to where and how you'd like to be. Do you need: - help to release pain - muscles, joints, back, headaches, frozen shoulder, tinnitus, PMS or IBS. - to recover from injury or trauma - support when life feels overwhelming or stuck - better sleep, better digestion, circulation or breath Shiatsu uses acupressure, movement of joints, gentle stretches, Fascia Release, - to relax your whole body and correct structural mis-alignment that results from chronic tension, pain and weakness. This can help you feel looser and lighter - physically, emotionally and mentally. These are the kinds of things that affect many of us, and I offer natural and enjoyable ways of helping these conditions. The added benefit of receiving shiatsu is that you can feel more energised and enjoy what life has to offer you. Long term problems you thought could not change, can move and take you towards new opportunities.

Shiatsu is a holistic physical therapy that uses oriental and western techniques to bring you to better health. It can be used for specific physical symptoms or to support you in keeping healthy and manage with stress or difficult times in your life. With 23 years experience of shiatsu bodywork, I will focus the session according to your needs, and introduce simple ways that you can support yourself. The priority is to relax your body and allow the whole system to unblock where it is stuck, so that you can move more easily, and everything can flow with more space and ease. I facilitate alignment, and connection with what you need, so that you are able to help yourself recover your vitality and flow. I use sensitive touch with stretching and movement; acupressure points, meridian work. I focus particularly on the Primary Meridians of Governing & Conception Vessels and Central Channel. We check in at the start with what you want to work with and learn to connect with and listen to your body with what it wants or needs. You will usually lie on a futon the floor or massage couch. You wear loose clothing. I suggest a few regular session at least fortnightly, and then reduce to monthly visits to maintain the benefit.
