About me

Hello, I’m Vikki, and a very warm welcome to Chameleon Acupuncture & Wellness.

People often ask why I chose the name Chameleon. It’s simple—chameleons adapt beautifully to their surroundings. In my clinic, I take the same approach: every treatment is thoughtfully adapted to you, your body, and your unique journey.

I’m a fully qualified practitioner with 13 years of clinical experience and a proud member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC). I continue to deepen my knowledge through ongoing professional development and I’m currently studying for my Advanced Diploma in Fertility Acupuncture, supporting both natural conception and IVF journeys.

My peaceful clinic overlooks the Trent & Mersey Canal on the Hawkesyard Estate in Rugeley, Staffordshire—a calm and nurturing space where you can slow down, feel supported, and begin to heal.

I help people with a wide range of concerns, including:

• Joint, neck, and back pain

• Headaches and migraines

• Digestive issues

• Anxiety, depression, panic attacks, and insomnia

• Hayfever and sinus problems

• Fertility support for men and women, including IVF preparation

• Menstrual irregularities, hormonal balance, and cycle-related pain

Alongside Traditional Chinese Acupuncture, I may incorporate supportive therapies such as cupping, moxa, ear seeds, taping, Celluma LED light therapy, and holistic Weleda treatments—always chosen to gently encourage your body’s natural balance.

My aim is to provide kind, personalised care that helps you feel calmer, stronger, and more in harmony with yourself. Whether you’re living with pain, navigating fertility challenges, or simply feeling out of balance, you’ll be welcomed with warmth, understanding, and treatments tailored just for you.

Experience

My Story

My journey into acupuncture began through my own healing. As a teenager, I developed osteoarthritis in both knees, which caused ongoing pain, stiffness, joint locking, and instability. I was prescribed strong painkillers and even had surgery, yet everyday activities I loved—exercise, music festivals, and long evenings out—became difficult.

At one point, I was taking such strong medication that I felt like a zombie. My consultant advised strengthening the muscles around my knees, but the pain made it feel impossible. Something had to change.

When I first tried acupuncture, I was sceptical. I wondered how tiny needles could help—but within a few months, my pain reduced dramatically. I was able to return to the gym, rebuild my strength, and feel like myself again. Acupuncture gave me my life back, and I knew I wanted to help others experience that same transformation.

Training & Career

After the loss of my father in 2007, I felt called to change direction. I had previously worked as an ecologist carrying out wildlife surveys, but my fascination with acupuncture’s ability to restore balance led me to retrain.

In 2010, I enrolled at the Northern College of Acupuncture, where I studied Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture alongside Western biosciences and research methods, graduating in 2013 with a BSc (Hons) in Acupuncture.

I have now been practising for 13 years and am a fully qualified member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), completing at least 30 hours of Continuing Professional Development each year. My training has included fertility acupuncture, pain management, sports acupuncture, facial acupuncture, and taping techniques.

I am currently studying an Advanced Level Diploma in Fertility Acupuncture with Fertility Support Training, deepening my ability to support both natural conception and IVF journeys. I am fully insured through the BAcC and trained in First Aid.

A Little About Me

I live on the Hawkesyard Estate near Rugeley with my wonderfully supportive husband Dave, our children Indigo and Hendrix, our Jack Russell cross Leah, our Indian Star tortoise Bumpy, and our bearded dragon Frazzle.

Outside the clinic, I enjoy strength training, yoga, paddle boarding, and family days at theme parks. I also love rock and metal music and getting to gigs whenever life allows.

My own experience of living with chronic pain is what makes me so passionate about helping others. I understand how exhausting it can feel, and I’m here to offer gentle, personalised care to help you move more freely, feel calmer, and get back to doing the things you love.

Specialisms

I provide personalised acupuncture and holistic treatments to help you feel calmer, stronger, and more balanced. My main areas of expertise include:

Pain & Musculoskeletal Health: Chronic pain, joint aches, back & neck pain, sports injuries, postural strain.

Headaches, Migraines & Neurological Symptoms: Relief from migraines, tension headaches, tinnitus, and vertigo.

Fertility & Hormonal Balance: Support for men and women, natural conception, IVF prep, menstrual health, and menopause.

Stress, Sleep & Emotional Wellbeing: Anxiety, panic, insomnia, and stress-related conditions.

Skin & Inflammation: Eczema, acne, and other inflammatory conditions.

My Approach

Your first appointment lasts around 1.5 hours and includes a thorough consultation covering your health, lifestyle, and current concerns, along with any tests or investigations. You’ll have a safe space to discuss emotional or past challenges, and I’ll carry out gentle physical assessments including pulse, tongue, and range of movement checks.

Following this, your first treatment begins, tailored specifically to you. Most clients benefit from 4–6 weekly sessions, after which treatments can be spaced further apart, eventually becoming seasonal “tune-ups.”

Each session builds on the last, supporting your main concern while improving overall balance, wellbeing, and resilience. My approach is personalised, gentle, and focused on helping you feel calmer, stronger, and more in harmony with your body.
