Nicholas Tobin Bowen Technique

Nicholas Tobin
Bowen Technique Practitioner in Neston

Hello,

I've been helping people with the Bowen Technique for over ten years. I came to Bowen due to my own experience with ME/fibromyalgia with chronic pain and sleeplessness. It worked for me and I highly recommend it to you.

The Bowen Technique is a non-intrusive complementary hands-on therapy undertaken through clothing. The technique is based on the theory that gentle moves over precise points of the body can prompt the body's innate ability to relieve pain, restriction and imbalance without the need for deep, manipulative or forceful treatment. Bowen practitioners work holistically with their clients and expect to work alongside allopathic health professionals to support optimum health for their clients.

For example, one of the most common complaints for which people seek Bowen treatment is back pain. The average number of treatments people have is three to four. There are always exceptions to any rule, and some people will need further or even on-going treatment. Painful and restricted shoulders are also a particular favourite as are neck pain, respiratory conditions and headache patterns. Bowen is being widely used for sports injuries as well, with rugby clubs and premiership football clubs showing interest. Not only do sportsmen report fewer injuries when treated regularly but they also notice enhanced performance.

My Specialisms

The Bowen Technique aims to balance the whole person not to treat just the symptoms. Afterall the symptom you feel might be caused from somewhere elsewhere in the body.

My patients ages vary from the unborn baby and mother to nonagenarians.

A random selection of some of the problems I have been asked to look at include - general aches, pains and strains; baby colic; IBS, indigestion and crohn's; stress; sleep problems; shin splints; shoulder, back and neck problems; hayfever, asthma and bronchial problems; Hips, legs, knees and feet; sports injuries as well as sports and general health maintenance.

Also, headaches, migraines and jaw problems. Pelvic floor and pelvic misalignment. Spinal problems.

Approach to Bowen Technique & How I Work

Everyone is an individual. Everyone comes with different set of problems and expectations. Through the Bowen Technique I am able to try and fulfill these expectations.

"A recent study of 1,130 people receiving Bowen showed that 93% of them reported benefit."
