About me

Loss can change our lives in an instant. Losing someone or something important can leave you feeling isolated, looking at a version of life you hadn't envisioned and unsure how to move forward. Whatever your grief looks like, your feelings are valid. You deserve a space where you're truly heard, without judgement or pressure to "get over it."

I will walk alongside you with warmth, empathy, and respect, helping you process your loss in a way that feels right for you.

I am an Integrative Counsellor, Clinical Hypnotherapist, and EFT and NLP Practitioner. My integrative approach means I tailor therapy to your individual needs rather than working from a single model. Together, we can explore your thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and experiences in a way that feels safe, supportive, and meaningful.

While I have a particular interest in grief and loss, I also work with clients experiencing anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and feelings of being stuck or overwhelmed. Grief can arise from many different experiences, including bereavement, divorce, health challenges, changes in identity, career loss, or other significant life events.

Depending on your needs and preferences, I may draw upon counselling, hypnotherapy, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) to help you gain insight, process difficult emotions, challenge limiting beliefs, and develop healthier ways of coping. My aim is always to work collaboratively, ensuring that therapy progresses at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Reaching out for support can feel daunting, especially when life feels uncertain. I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences, find your own strengths, and begin to move forward with greater confidence, resilience, and hope.

Experience

I have been working as a therapist since 2008, initially qualifying as a Clinical Hypnotherapist and specialising in fertility, pregnancy, and birth-related support. Over the years, my passion for helping people navigate life's challenges led me to broaden my training and develop an integrative counselling practice, allowing me to support clients with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties.

Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, grief, loss, life transitions, and the emotional impact of significant life events also training as a Hypnobirthing and Hypnofertility practitioner.

My approach is informed by training in counselling, hypnotherapy, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), enabling me to tailor support or courses to each client's unique needs.

I have a particular interest in bereavement and loss. Alongside specialist bereavement training, I am a SANDS trained Baby Loss Counsellor and have supported individuals and families affected by miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal loss, fertility challenges, and other forms of profound loss. I understand that grief is deeply personal and that there is no right or wrong way to experience it.

My experience has taught me the importance of providing a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported as they work towards healing, growth, and positive change.

Specialisms

With over 18 years of therapy experience, I have a particular interest in supporting people through grief, loss, and bereavement. As a SANDS trained Baby Loss Counsellor with additional specialist bereavement training, I understand the profound impact that loss can have and offer a compassionate space where clients can explore their feelings at their own pace.

I also have extensive experience working with women and couples on their fertility and birth journeys, supporting them through the emotional challenges that can accompany conception, pregnancy, and childbirth.

Anxiety is another area in which I work extensively. Whether anxiety is linked to life events, relationships, health concerns, work pressures, or longstanding patterns of thinking, I draw on hypnotherapy, EFT (Tapping), NLP, and counselling skills to help clients reduce distress, build confidence, and create lasting positive change.

I also have an interest in past life regression and am currently studying spiritual coaching.

My Approach

My approach is both pluralistic and integrative, which means I recognise that every client is unique and that there is no single therapeutic approach that works for everyone. Rather than following a rigid model, I tailor therapy to your individual needs, goals, and preferences, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches to support you in the most effective way.

At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I believe that feeling safe, heard, and understood is essential for meaningful change, so I aim to provide a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace.

We will work collaboratively, building a trusting relationship and identifying what feels most helpful for you. Depending on your needs, our work may involve person-centred counselling to explore emotions and experiences, alongside hypnotherapy, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT/Tapping), or Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) to help address unhelpful patterns, reduce emotional distress, build confidence, and create lasting change.

I believe that you are the expert in your own life. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to support, guide, and empower you as you develop greater self-awareness, resilience, and understanding. Whether you are navigating grief, anxiety, a life transition, or a personal challenge, I will work alongside you with empathy, respect, and genuine curiosity about your unique experience.
