I am a fully qualified Medical Herbalist working from Peebles and Galashiels in the Scottish Borders. I am also happy to do home visits if travel is difficult. My herbal medicine degree is from Napier University in Edinburgh and I set up in practice in 2008 when I graduated. My approach to patient care and treatment is to work with you, the patient, to move towards the best possible health that you can achieve. We begin with a 45 minute consultation which gives you time and space to tell your story in a safe and confidential environment and to fully explore your medical history. Then with the use of herbs, combined with lifestyle and dietary changes where appropriate, the healing changes can begin.

I started off with a Degree in Ecology and Human Biology and from there I went on to do a Masters degree in Environmental Science. I have always bee interested in health and wellness and how people can get to the best health they can have. Herbal Medicine felt to me like a good way to do this and I graduated from Napier University in Edinburgh in 2008 with a Degree in Herbal Medicine.

I am happy to see people with all types of health conditions and/or concerns. I am particularly interested in the role that stress, anxiety or other emotional states play in the overall health of a person. With this in mind, through the consultation process, together we build up a complete and in depth picture of your health, often over several visits. This ensures that all aspects of your health are covered in any treatment plan.

From listening to patients I have come to realise how important it is for people to be given the time and space to tell their story in a safe and confidential space. This story telling is the beginning of the journey towards better health. The information shared allows me to build a picture of the overall health of the patient and a treatment plan made.
