Nutritional Therapist in Taunton

As a registered Nutritional Therapist and Naturopath I aim to find the root cause of your symptoms and devise the best possible plan to assist you.
I have been practising for 15 years, qualifying in 2005 with a degree in health sciences and herbal medicine and a diploma in naturopathic nutritional therapy. Offering one to one consultations to find the root cause of your symptoms at Body-Balance Clinic, Wrantage and Taunton, Somerset. Currently, appointments are by phone, Zoom or WhatsApp.
I aim to find the root cause of your symptoms and support you in your health goal aims. I may recommend specific laboratory tests for vitamin and minerals levels, pH balance, gut flora imbalances, to assess imbalances that may be connected to symptoms. A supplement prescription, using natural and herbal supplements as far as possible is included.

I use the test results to rebalance and optimise nutrient levels with a carefully devised nutritional programme for you. I use the extensive evidence base for nutritional science to develop a personalised, safe and effective nutrition and lifestyle programme. Ongoing CPD forms a large part of my nutritional and naturopathic work.

Nutritional therapy is recognised as a complementary medicine and is relevant for individuals with chronic conditions, wide ranging health problems, sports nutrition as well as those looking for support to enhance their health and wellbeing, for all ages.

These tests include hormone and cortisol levels, vitamin and minerals, levels, chronic inflammation, histamine imbalances, digestive imbalances, essential fatty acids and pH balance and many more.

Approach to Therapy & How I Work

I am passionate about the links between foods and health. Through my own personal experience of health problems and my quest for answers using natural health and herbal medicine, I found the answers I needed. I now aim to assist, by recommending dietary changes to everyone wishing to optimise their health through improved nutrition. This includes supporting clients with chronic problems. Reach your health and weight goals with a personalised nutrition programme, following evaluation of your diet and symptoms. I provide support for reaching long term goals, and this will be at an initial consultation, with possible follow up appointments, to make gradual, safe changes and optimise your health.
