Life can be a struggle at times, I am here if you need someone who will listen to you without judgement and give you a safe space to share your concerns. I am open, honest, calm, kind and believe it would be a privilege to be able to work with you at your most challenging time. I have worked with vulnerable adults, children, young people and families for over 20 years, and I feel that this experience has provided me with an insight into how determined, resilient and empowered people can be. Every person is unique, and I will work with you to understand your life journey and explore your self-awareness.

I can offer counselling through a variety of mediums and together we can work to understand your challenges and agree what you want to achieve from counselling to make those important life changes.

I will work with you and support you in exploring the issues that are important to you. I will assist you in understanding your emotions and taking responsibility for your thoughts and actions. It allows you to uncover your motivations and abilities, find your own solutions, and break free from unhelpful patterns of behaviour. It is important for you to feel comfortable being open and transparent, exploring your emotions, and expressing yourself freely. I will offer empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard, accepting you as you.

Approach to Counselling & How I Work

You can decide how we approach counselling. Your appointments will last 50 minutes and can take place via telephone, online video software or face to face. All sessions will be confidential and in a safe space whether at the comfort of your own home (telephone/online) or at my comfortable counselling room.

My main emphasis of counselling training is humanistic integrative counselling routed in person centred. I have experience of working with anxiety, depression, domestic abuse, bereavement, bullying, disabilities, health related issues, loneliness, self-esteem/confidence, self-harm, suicidal ideation, stress management, work related issues, relationships, family issues and life issues.

I will work with you and support you in exploring the issues that are important to you. I will assist you in understanding your emotions and taking responsibility for your thoughts and actions. It allows you to uncover your motivations and abilities, find your own solutions, and break free from unhelpful patterns of behaviour. The therapeutic relationship between yourself and I is crucial in humanistic therapy. It is important for you to feel comfortable being open and transparent, exploring your emotions, and expressing yourself freely. I will offer empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard, accepting you as you are.
