Michael Prentice
Counsellor in South Molton

Everyone is an individual person bringing their own personal circumstances to the meeting. I will listen to your reason(s) for being at the session and what you want to achieve/where you want to aim to be - offering you help and support in that process. My counselling training was with Addaction (alcohol and drugs dependency Agency) where I completed over 100 hrs of sessions and a Mentoring role. I also trained at Cruse Bereavement Care and progressed from there. My Counselling Diploma is in CBT and Certificate in Christian Counselling are from the Institute of Counselling of which I am a full Member. I take an holistic approach.
I keep spaces available for people who need to see me urgently. My specialities are those areas as highlighted above - addictions, anxiety/depression, PTSD, bereavement, relationships counselling, domestic violence and abuse. Furthermore, I have Counselling qualifications in Cultural diversity and awareness, Christian Counselling etc. I assure you of my full attention and I work to the IOC Codes of Ethical Practice.
I am trained through the Institute of Counselling, Glasgow (similar to the BACP, please see https:/www.instituteofcounselling.org.uk/ for more information.) All my qualifications can be reviewed upon request.

Sessions cost £45 singles; £65 couples and are of 50 mins duration but can be extended by arrangement. Payment required at time. (24 hr cancellation notice required unless emergency shown.)
