I employ an integrative, humanistic approach that also draws on various therapeutic modalities, tailoring them to each client's specific needs. Some of the methods I use include cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques. I view therapy as a collaborative process: my role is not to provide answers, but to help clients make sense of their experiences, discover inner resources, and find new ways to move forward.
A typical first session with me is about getting to know each other, understanding what brings you to therapy, and discussing how we can work together. From there, therapy can be short-term or long-term depending on your goals. For some clients, just a few sessions provide clarity and relief; for others, a more comprehensive process allows for deeper exploration and lasting change. Whatever the length, we work together to ensure the process feels safe, respectful, and empowering.
As someone who has lived and worked in different countries, I'm particularly sensitive to issues of identity, belonging, and cultural diversity. I offer therapy in both English and Spanish, ensuring clients can express themselves in the language they feel most comfortable with.
Above all, I aim to help people feel truly heard and supported. I believe therapy offers a unique space where you can step back from daily life, reflect on your experiences, and explore new ways of understanding yourself and your relationships. It's a space where change becomes possible, not through pressure or judgment, but through genuine connection, curiosity, and care.
