Anisa Davies EMDR

Anisa Davies
EMDR Practitioner in Telford

Are you feeling stuck or overwhelmed by past experiences, self doubt, or work stress? I offer a compassionate, evidence based space using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help you find clarity and confidence. I consider my role as therapist to be a privilege. I am so grateful to every client I have worked with, for sharing their journey with me.
I work with adults navigating stress, self-doubt, or difficult life experiences, including those connected to work, relationships, or identity. My approach combines CBT and EMDR to help you understand your patterns, heal from the past, and move forward with greater resilience. Therapy can be the start of meaningful change.
You're welcome to send me a message or call- let's explore how I can support you and whether the therapy I offer is the right fit for you.

Background & EMDR Qualifications

I'm Anisa, a BABCP accredited CBT and EMDR therapist, offering compassionate, evidence-based therapy online.

I have over 15 years' experience in mental health care, having first qualified as a Mental Health Nurse with Staffordshire University in 2010. I later specialised in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in 2016 through Staffordshire University and went on to gain advanced training in EMDR with the EMDR Academy.

My Specialisms

I have a special interest in compassion-focused work and helping people improve their relationship with themselves, building self-worth, reducing self-criticism, and developing healthier internal narratives. This combination of skills allows me to provide tailored, effective, evidence based treatment for a range of difficulties, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma responses (including PTSD), and long-standing issues with self-esteem.

Approach to EMDR & How I Work

I offer a calm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where we work together to explore what's going on for you and move towards your goals at a pace that feels right. I value therapy as a collaborative partnership, rooted in trust, curiosity and respect for your individual experience.

My work is trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming, and I place a strong emphasis on compassion, mindfulness and emotional safety. I understand that many people have learned to be hard on themselves, particularly in response to stress, work pressures or past experiences. Therapy can offer a different way - one that supports understanding, self-kindness and meaningful change.

I use evidence-based approaches, including CBT and EMDR, to help you make sense of patterns, process difficult experiences, and build practical tools for day-to-day life. My aim is to support you not only to reduce distress, but to feel more confident, grounded and empowered as you move forward.
