I specialise in the treatment of children with behavioural disorders such as ADHD and Autism, where I have found homeopathy to be uniquely helpful, particularly in managing emotional aspects such as fears, anger, explosive tantrums, anxiety, depression and the like. Several children I have treated homeopathically no longer have diagnoses.

My family have always used homeopathic remedies to manage our health. As a small child I was helped with my ear infections, and I helped my own children through their infectious diseases with homeopathy. I continue to be astonished by the scope of homeopathy to help myself, my family, our dogs, horses, cat, chickens and ducks.

We live in the Chilterns, just off junction 5 of the M40. I have a consultation room at home, but also conduct on-line consultations , or walking consultations in the woods behind our house - very useful for those who find it hard to sit still for long.

I have a wealth of other experience which I bring to consultations. I used to work as a teacher of children with behavioural problems; I have studied ADHD in depth; attended and presented at numerous academic conferences; and written academic papers; but maybe most importantly, I have personal experience of ADHD since several members of our family have a diagnosis.

Background & Homeopathy Qualifications

I studied English and Education at Cambridge University. I then worked with children with special needs - first as a teacher, then as a parent educator.
When my children were small, I trained as a homeopath with a view to managing their health needs. However my career took a U turn when I found homeopathy to be more effective than anything I had encountered in my previous profession. To start building the evidence, I embarked on research: a B.Sc in Homeopathy at Thames Valley University, where I conducted a literature review of the trials of Homeopathy for ADHD; a research M.Sc at Goldsmiths University conducting a Case series of 20 children with ADHD treated homeopathically for a year each; and a PhD at the University of Sheffield where I conducted a pragmatic randomised clinical trial.
I have been honoured to be made a fellow of the Society of Homeopaths for my research contributions.

Approach to Homeopathy & How I Work

I use anything that works and persevere until things improve.
I believe strongly that there is a solution to most things, and that we are doing the best we can in the circumstances we find ourselves in. The job of homeopathic treatment is to understand what might be out of kilter, and work with people towards a more balanced, happier path. Prescribing an appropriately matching homeopathic remedy can address imbalances and trigger us to re-balance ourselves.
My goal is to facilitate the development of healthy, flexible, happy children and adults so they can enjoy the opportunities around them
