Having worked at the BBC in TV Production, and then 'produced' two children, Lesley opened the magical shop Puppet Planet in London in 2003 in order to inspire imagination and promote potential. Providing interactive workshops for autistic children and excluded teenagers, Lesley appreciates the value of inclusion and identity, and is also trauma-informed.

Consistently committed to her own CPD (Continuing Personal Development), Lesley is currently training in NVC (Non Violent Communication), promoting Conflict Resolution in every area of life - including our relationship with ourselves.

Background & Life Coaching Qualifications

Initially trained as a Reiki Master teacher with Stewart Ivory, I subsequently became an NLP Lifecoach, studying for a year with pioneer Fiona Harrold. I was drawn to Solution-Oriented Hypnosis taught by Bill O'Hanlon who'd worked together with Milton Erickson, the psychiatrist who revolutionised hypnotherapy. I was then delighted to discover how effective Marisa Peer's Rapid Transformational Therapy is and have had the opportunity to train with her personally. I make it my business to facilitate healing in the world through individual inner transformation.

Having pioneered the television series 'Video Diaries' in the 1980s, I then worked at the BBC on 'Open Space' documentaries to give a voice to people misrepresented or under-represented by the media.

I've been fortunate to 'produce' two children, who've done a pretty good job of bringing me up! I myself was brought up in an era when entertainment was generally homemade and hands-on, so I believe that play and make-believe can contribute to a more creative intelligence. I began to work as an entertainer - puppeteer, clown, storyteller and Punch and Judy 'Professor' - putting smiles on people's faces! In 2003 I was inspired to open the magical shop Puppet Planet dedicated to stimulating imagination.

I became a Buddhist back in 1982 and started to chant "Nam Myoho Renge Kyo". One of my incentives was to bring happiness to myself and others. I naturally began to look for effective complementary healing techniques to offer, and above all now enjoy facilitating real, lasting change in people's lives.

Always curious, I've questioned appearances and explored the meaning of life. The proverb "Opportunities are made, not found" rang true, and I personally resolved to determine my own destiny in every aspect of my life. So shy I would blush if you looked at me, at 15 I decided to study languages to improve my communication skills. I now speak French, German and Spanish, and act on stage and in film. Having been a gymnast and horse rider competing at county level, and a touring dance-drama performer, I've faced accidents and injuries and learned to get back in the saddle.
I am fortunate to own my own home and business, and feel grateful to be in a position to be able to volunteer time and energy to local peace initiatives.

I firmly believe that any problem can be a source of benefit. It's never simply a matter of luck - any situation can be turned around. This is the fundamental framework of my Lifecoaching practice, and the source of inspiration for transformational Hypnotherapy. Resolving my own health and relationship challenges has made me resourceful and resilient, affording me great insight into the therapeutic process and the dynamics of progress.

I have a wide range of experience working in corporate and independent sectors. My background has enabled me to see behind-the-scenes and engage with people from all walks of life - in job roles from market stall holder to BBC manager, from cleaner to clown, from French teacher to visual artist.

I've travelled extensively, including in India and Japan, and have lived and worked in several European countries. I am fascinated by the powerful effects of culture and circumstances, and the wonderful resourcefulness of human nature. It's a winning combination - your commitment and my skills.

Approach to Life Coaching & How I Work

Entertaining ideas and reframing experience can be both therapeutic and fun. I am lighthearted, yet I take my work very seriously - it's my vocation to foster creativity, confidence and competence.

When it comes to fulfilling my own potential, these words by my mentor Daisaku Ikeda strike a chord: "Never for an instant forget the effort to renew your life, to build yourself anew. Creativity means to push open the heavy, groaning doorway of life itself. This is not an easy task. Indeed, it may be the most severely challenging struggle there is. For opening the door to your own life is in the end more difficult than opening the door to all the mysteries of the universe."

It's wonderful to be a catalyst for authentic growth and share ways to integrate positive change in clients' lives, achieving rapid results. Having trained in different healing modalities, I love to see individuals achieve their goals, find fulfilment through the freedom to express ideas and feelings, and take action, applying practical strategies in every area of their lives - family, business, health, relationships.
