Michael Eisen
Meditation Practitioner in London

If you are feeling stressed, low, or unsure about your direction in life, then perhaps I can help. My approach is rooted in mindfulness, but as a Clinical Psychologist, I am trained in a range of therapies, and so can weave them together to produce the right therapy for you. Using mindfulness-based therapy, you can learn to step back from your thoughts, stop struggling with your feelings, and live the life you want.

I offer a free 30-minute initial consultation, so you can make sure that I am the right person to work with.

Finally, I believe that nothing matters as much in therapy as the relationship between therapist and client, so I aim to make you feel supported, understood, and safe enough to explore new ways of seeing, doing, and being.

My Specialisms

I am highly experienced in using mindfulness, compassion, and meditation as part of therapy. While I am certified as "Ready to Teach" by one of the main mindfulness training organisations in the UK, the main source of my expertise is my own practice of mindfulness, compassion, and meditation - I have been meditating for nearly 20 years and have experienced profound benefits from it. Across 10 years as a therapist, I have honed an approach that makes the benefits of mindfulness readily accessible to my clients.

Approach to Meditation & How I Work

I am flexible in my approach, so as to offer a form of therapy that suits you: some clients want a more practical and structured approach, whereas others prefer sessions to be more open-ended and exploratory.

That said, when using mindfulness as a major part of therapy, I will teach you carefully chosen techniques to help you do the following:

First, to cultivate a new perspective on your thoughts, so that they no longer affect you so much or control you.

Second, to develop a better relationship to your feelings, so that you don't need to avoid or suppress them.

Third, to clarify what you really want to do in life, and to actually do it.
