Emma-Jane Laroche
Psychotherapist in Balloch

I'm an experienced counsellor offering a calm, steady space for adults who want to feel understood without judgement or pressure. My work is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and a deep respect for each person's lived experience. Many of the people I support are navigating anxiety, bereavement, domestic abuse, or the complexities of neurodiversity. I focus on creating an environment where you can move at your own pace, feel safe enough to explore what's happening in your inner world, and develop practical strategies that genuinely fit your life.

As an experienced practitioner, I enjoy keeping up to date with new therapeutic ideas and approaches. This helps me bring fresh insight, flexibility, and creativity to our work together, while still offering a grounded, steady presence. I draw on Transactional Analysis (TA), a model of therapy to help make sense of patterns in thinking, feeling, and relating, using it in a clear, collaborative way that avoids jargon.

I value transparency, warmth, and clear communication, and I aim to make therapy feel accessible, inclusive, and emotionally safe. If you're looking for a counsellor who will meet you with empathy, steadiness, and respect for your autonomy please feel free to contact me.

Approach to Psychotherapy & How I Work

I offer a calm, steady space where you can talk openly without judgement. My style is collaborative and down-to-earth. We work together to understand what you're experiencing and find practical strategies that genuinely support you. My approach is trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming, with a focus on emotional safety, clarity, and compassion.

I draw on Transactional Analysis (TA) to help make sense of patterns in thoughts, feelings, and relationships in a way that's accessible and free from jargon. People often describe me as warm, grounded, and easy to talk to, and I aim to help you feel more understood, more resourced, and more in control of your own path forward.
