Nick Dunmore
Psychotherapist in Roehampton

Nick is a psychotherapist and counsellor who believes that when life feels overwhelming, the right conversation can help you find steadiness. He offers a calm, reflective space to slow down, explore what's happening inside, and discover new perspectives.

Working integratively, Nick draws on existential, person-centred, humanistic and relational approaches, with the therapeutic relationship at the heart of the process. Sessions encourage open, non-judgemental exploration while gently uncovering unconscious patterns that may be shaping life and relationships. His aim is to help clients build deeper self-understanding, recognise repeating patterns, and connect more fully with their emotional life.

Nick's path to psychotherapy began with his own experience of therapy, which profoundly changed his life and continues to inform the empathy, curiosity and care he brings to his work. He has particular experience supporting men in their twenties and thirties, offering a safe space to explore identity, relationships, and the pressures of modern life.

Clients describe Nick as calm, empathetic, reflective and thoughtful. He works with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, burnout, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, and major life transitions.

Sessions are £60 for 50 minutes, offered face-to-face or online, with a free 30-minute phone consultation.

Approach to Psychotherapy & How I Work

Nick works integratively, drawing on existential, person-centred, humanistic and relational approaches. He believes that the therapeutic relationship itself is the foundation for meaningful change. In sessions, clients are encouraged to speak freely, without judgement, while also gently uncovering unconscious patterns that may be shaping their lives.

His aim is to help clients build a deeper understanding of themselves, recognise repeating relational patterns, and connect more fully with their emotional life. The counselling room becomes a safe, creative space for this exploration.
