My approach, my priority, is to provide a space you can gradually relax into and feel free and safe to just explore your sense of who you are, your relationships, your background, or whatever it is that brings you to therapy.

My background is Person Centred which is about being authentic and congruent , empathic and respectful; seeing you as the expert in your own process and your pace.

Family/Systemic Constellations can help to shift stuckness, old patterns, issues that arise over and over, in the simple depth and flow of this method.

Background & Relationship Therapy Qualifications

I studied Person Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy at Temenos Education Ltd. in Sheffield and gained a diploma in 2009. Temenos is a place which trains therapists very rigorously as well as striving to provide the conditions in which deep personal growth can take place. I feel very lucky to have trained there and have attended many trainings there since.

I have also studied now for three years at the Centre for Systemic Constellations which is another place of excellent training and standards of practice.

My particular training interest has been in the areas of regulation of emotions and dealing with past trauma. I have attended multiple trainings and read widely on how our brains adapt and deal with the things that happen to us and affect our behaviour and how we can use our adult brain to gradually understand and overcome unwanted thoughts compulsions and behaviours. I am a "Friend of PODS" and attend their trainings. This is an organisation set up to give support and training to people who have suffered from childhood trauma and those who work with them. More specifically it is there to support people with Dissociative Identity Disorder and those who work with them.

After in depth training in the field, I have recently widened my counselling lens into systemic work and I can offer this lens in counselling if you ask: looking at inherited patterns in family systems and in relationships systems.

I now offer group workshops in Family Constellations in Sheffield.

I have lived in many countries including Sierra Leone and Austria. In my work and personal life I have been lucky enough to get to know and be close to people from many parts of the world.

I speak German as a second language.

I have worked a lot with: Post Natal Depression; People struggling with Emotional Dysregulation (Borderline PD); People struggling with living with Autism(Asperger's) in a Neurotypical world; Depression; Anxiety; Survivors of Domestic abuse or Narcissistic abuse; Trauma and Complex Trauma; Psychosis; and with many other presenting issues.
