Approach to Therapy & How I Work

Shiatsu is a holistic physical therapy that uses oriental and western techniques to bring you to better health. It can be used for specific physical symptoms or to support you in keeping healthy and manage with stress or difficult times in your life.

With 16 years experience as a shiatsu bodywork therapist, I will focus the session according to your needs, and introduce simple ways that you can support yourself.
The priority is to relax your body and allow the whole system to unblock where it is stuck, so that you can move more easily, and everything can flow with more space and ease. I encourage you to be aligned, and to be in touch with what you need to be able to help yourself recover your vitality and flow.

I use acupressure points, gentle and deep touch with stretching and movement to empower your body and mind to let go of the pain and tension that is keeping you back.
You will usually lie on a special body support cushion and I work through clothing. I suggest a few regular session at least fortnightly, and then reduce to monthly visits to maintain the benefit.

Shiatsu is a complementary therapy and can work alongside medical treatment that you may be receiving. If you in doubt, please check with your doctor.

Home or Office visits available. Please contact me to arrange.

Testimonials

Rebecca on 28/11/2017

"I have had the most incredible shiatsu treatment with Tracy - I feel so lucky to have found her. I had an ache in my hip for a couple of years that she has completely taken away. The feeling of my posture after a session is beautiful. She is open to conversations about how the emotional and physical link without being at all intrusive. It's a wonderful experience and I recommend it wholeheartedly. "
