Craniosacral Therapy and how it can help

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) helps the client to become more body aware, allowing a greater sense of connection between the mind and body. Our bodies hold our memories, traumas and experiences at a cellular level. Sometimes we can be held back by our past experiences and our bodies can still be holding on to these. CST can help us to release what is no longer required; shedding our unwanted baggage, can allow us to move forward positively, with a greater sense of ease.

When I'm asked how CST works, the easiest way to explain it is like this: when you go to an osteopath or chiropractor, the practitioner will use physical manipulation to help. With CST the therapist listens to the body and uses gentle touch, promoting the client's innate healing abilities. CST will assist the body to self-organise, self-regulate and self-heal. This process is client led, the body will do what it needs to, given the opportunity to do so.

This form of craniosacral therapy is Bio-dynamic and is a very natural and organic process, supporting the body mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

CST works well for recurring symptoms or those that come and go for no apparent reason. It can help to get to the underlying cause of the problem and clarify where the symptoms are coming from.

CST releases tension deep in the central nervous system, so that every other system in the body can relax and self correct. This in turn helps us to feel a greater sense of equilibrium and harmony within ourselves. When we achieve this balance, a positive shift occurs, resulting in a new found sense of vitality and wellbeing.

I am passionate about providing a space in which clients can relax, feel safe and experience the gentle and effective benefits of CST.

Clients receive treatments fully clothed, lying on a treatment couch in a safe and relaxed environment.

Some of the conditions I have worked with are stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia, low energy, shock, migraines, cluster headaches, past trauma, digestive problems, lethargy and wanting to feel more connected.

I believe that the benefits of CST are profound. A feeling that you have been heard, in the truest sense of the word, is a common experience during and after a craniosacral therapy session.
