Replenishment―Virgo Full Moon― February 27th

The ordinary arts we practice every day at home are of more importance to the soul than their simplicity might suggest - Thomas Moore.

A restrained Full moon reflects the subtle changes we may feel in our bodies as we approach the Vernal Equinox on March 21st. Perhaps we’re tossing the clutter, sorting through, stowing away those things we value, replenishing our energy with rituals of self-nurturing and precious moments of solitude. Virgo is attuned to the silent cycles of the natural world. This is where we celebrate those quiet miracles, those very ordinary, often unacknowledged acts of service simply stitched into the fabric of our daily lives. We may meet this archetype in those who serve, those who take care of the details, those who mop up the mess.

Where Virgo resides in our birth chart, this is where we hone our craft, where we polish and perfect. Like kintsukuroi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with powdered gold, Virgo’s gift is the gentle repair of what is fractured within us and around us. As the Sun in Pisces opposes the Moon in Virgo this weekend, we honour the sacred in the mundane. We set new intentions, pay attention to the little things.

The Sun and the Moon are in opposition this weekend. Pisces stirs our compassion, our altruism, and our imagination. The demure Virgo Moon reminds us to stay anchored in stormy weather; to seek comfort in our rituals and our routines; to be discerning as fact and fiction become entangled amongst the slippery flotsam and jetsam that floats through cyberspace.

As we clear the clutter, replenish our energy, may we sense the Intelligence of the uni-verse, we may feel a deep sense of peace and serenity descend, soothing and calming our nervous system.

May we feel supported and held as the seasons turn and we draw inwards and replenish our strength and vitality in the light of this Full Moon.
